Nestled in the heart of Matera's ancient Sassi district, La Scala Suite offers a prime location for immersing yourself in the city's unique charm. The second-floor room provided a clean, spacious retreat with a comfortable bed and essential air conditioning. While the view was somewhat limited from our room, the overall experience was satisfactory.The property's proximity to Altierei Cafe, offering delightful Italian breakfasts, added convenience. The accommodating host and well-maintained facilities contributed to a pleasant stay. However, the absence of a balcony in our room slightly detracted from the experience.Although the value for the price paid was reasonable, I would suggest considering other options if seeking a more luxurious stay. La Scala Suite serves as a practical choice for budget-conscious travelers looking for a central location in Matera's historic center, offering a decent level of comfort and convenience without extensive amenities.
